Our efforts to contain COVID19 continue. We must not lower the vigil. Today at DC office, Dibrugarh, reviewed COVID-19 situation & preparedness in the district. Asked authorities to focus on intensive vaccination and creation of PICU units.

Directed Principal Sec Health to monitor ongoing work for setting up of 30 PICU beds at AMCH.

Instructed to ensure vaccination of 15,000 18+ people every day in district & carry out vaccination in urban areas form 8:00am-8:00pm under mega vaccination drive starting tomorrow

During the visit took stock of flood preparedness & management strategy for the district.

Directed the Water Resource Department to expedite flood protection activities including construction and repairing of embankments.

Directed the Deputy Commissioner to take appropriate steps for providing financial assistance to those affected by flood & repairing of damaged houses, schools, AWC buildings under the new financial power delegated to the DCs.

MoS Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, Power Minister BimalBorah, Tea Tribes Welfare Minster Sanjoy Kishan, MP Pradan Baruah, MLAs were also present during the visit.
