Adding 466.72 acres to the Mangrove Forest is our small contributory beginning in climate change mitigation and adaptation: Aaditya Thackeray

Aaditya Thackeray – Minister, Maharashtra Govt. :

MTDC has handed over 466.72 acres of mangrove land in MTDC area in Gorai & Manori, to State Mangrove Cell for protection as Reserve Forest under IFA, 1927.

Today in MTDC board meeting we endorsed this decision, recognising the urgent need for mangrove protection.

This decision was long over due and we, as MTDC Board feel that it’s important for tourism to be eco friendly.

More so, adding 466.72 acres to the Mangrove Forest is our small contributory beginning in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
