Tirumala Brahmotsavam – Day 3, evening – Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam

On the third day evening of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams on Sunday the utsava idol of Sri Malayappa Swamy, in Rukmini Sathyabhama Sameta Murali Krishna alankaram was seated under the `Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam’.

In view of COVID-19 restrictions, the vahana Seva was observed at the Kalyanotsava Mandapam inside the Srivari temple.

The 26th chapter of Padma Puranam refers to an umbrella made of pearls giving shade to Lord Vishnu.

Symbolising this, Lord Malayappa flanked by His two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi graced under the pearl canopy to bless his devotees during Brahmotsavam.

Lord Malayappa Swamy was taken in a procession on Chinna Sesha Vahanam on the second day of Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams on Saturday morning Dressed in the celestial attire of ‘Damodar Krishna’.

Lord Malayappa, holding a glob of butter in one hand and a flute on the other, was taken in a procession on the five-hooded golden vahanam inside Srivari temple due to COVID-19 restrictions.

According to mythology, Chinnasesha is the personification of Vasuki – the king of serpents. To make the human race conscious of the divine Kundalini energy the Lord rode on Chinna Sesha Vahanam and devotees beget blessings for entire family.

Tirumala Brahmotsavam – Lord Malayappa Swamy rides Peddasesha Vahanam in Sri Govindaraja Swamy alankaram

Tirumala Brahmotsavam – On the day-1 of the on-going Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam, Sri Malayappa Swamy rode on Pedda Sesha Vahana in Sri Govindaraja Swamy alankaram.

As the Vahana seva held inside the Srivari temple in view of the COVID-19 restrictions Sri Malayappa Swamy and his, consorts rode the Pedda Sesha Vahana to bless the devotees.

Legends say that Adisesha, the serpent god was a friend of Sri Venkateshwara.  Sesha Vahanam symbolised the Saranagati cult of Sri Venkateshwara who has taken different avatars as Lakshmana and Balaram in other Yugas to be closely assisting Sri Narayana.

Chinna Sesha Vahanam marked the second day celebrations of the ongoing nine-day annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala

The darshan of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy on the five hooded Chinna Sesha Vahanam marked the second day celebrations of the ongoing nine-day annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Sunday morning.

The processional deity in the guise of “Murali Krishnudu” was mounted atop the  Chinna Sesha Vahanam. 

According to mythology, it is believed that Chinnasesha is the personification of Vasuki – the king of Serpents. To make the human race conscious of the divine Kundalini energy the Lord blessed His devotees on Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

‘Dwajarohanam’ heralds the begining of Srivari Brahmotsavam – Tirumala

The celestial annual Srivari Brahmotsavams kicked off ceremoniously in the auspicious Meena lagnam between 6.03pm and 6.30 pm on Saturday evening.

The archakas hoisted the Garuda flag on the Dwaja Sthambham amidst mangala vaidyams and in the holy presence of utsava idols of Sri Malayappaswamy and His consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi. Sri Govindacharyulu conducted the ceremony as Kankanabhattar.

Legends say that the Garudalwar (Garuda flag) on the Dwaja Sthabam was a celestial invitation to galaxy of Gods, Astha Dikpalakas, Saptha Rushis, Saptha Maruttas, Pancha Bhutas and entire humanity to participate in the Brahmotsavams. 

Garuda is said to be omni present and is the favourite vehicle of Sri Venkateswara and he swiftly adorns the flag also.

Similarly, the holy grass mat tied to Dwajasthambham is an symbol of immortality and represented by Amrita, the sacred nectar, which is carried by Lord of Medicine Dhanwantari.

Adishesha carries Paramapadanandha on the first Day of Brahmotsavam

The processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy took celestial ride on the seven hooded mighty Pedda Sesha Vahana in Paramapadanadha Avatara on the first day evening on Saturday.

In view of COVID 19 restrictions, TTD has dispensed with procession of vahanam along four mada streets and conducted Vahana seva within the temple complex at Kalyanotsava Mandapam in Ekantam.

Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi on Pedda Sesha Vahanam blessed millions and millions of devotees across the world on the celestial occasion as SVBC telecasted the live programme of entire vahana seva.
