• Glad to inaugurate Redbird Flight Training Academy along with Union Ministers Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia & Shri Kiren Rijiju at Lilabari Airport, Lakhimpur.
  
  
• It’s one of the 9 Flight Training Organisations started under Phase I of Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative & first in NE.
  
  
• GoA has handed over 84 acres of land for development of basic air strip & construction of isolation bay at the academy.
  
  
• Nearly 200 pilots will be trained at the academy where 10% seats will be reserved to which GoA can sponsor aspirants from lower & lower middle class families.
  
  
• For expansion & modernisation of existing airports in the State, GoA will hand over land to Civil Aviation Ministry by May 10, 2022.
  
  
• Also, as requested by Scindia ji, our Govt will take an appropriate decision regarding reduction of VAT on aviation fuel.
