Maharshtra CM Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the District Collectors of Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur & Hingoli as these seven districts are witnessing a rise in COVID Cases.

He made the following points during his interaction;
There is a possibility of the third wave as advised by experts and transmission of the new mutated Delta+ variant.
The Health Department must plan for additional oxygen beds, ICU beds & field hospitals in all districts. An adequate supply of oxygen must be ensured.
Medicines and other essential medical equipment must be made available in rural areas.
Planning must be undertaken to identify buildings and land to create facilities like field hospitals.
