Increasing vaccination coverage is the need of the hour. The youth must be vaccinated. Pfizer is planning to vaccinate adolescents between 12 to 15 years of age: CM, Uddhav Thackeray

CMO Maharashtra:

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray today held a virtual meeting with leaders of major political parties and cabinet colleagues to discuss the COVID situation in the State and the mitigation measures.

He made the following points:

To break the COVID transmission chain, it is imperative that strict restrictions must be imposed for a certain period of time.

The first priority will be given to saving lives. If this is a public health emergency, then the priority will be health of citizens & their lives.

The Leader of Opposition has made some good points. They will be considered earnestly.

The State Government will act on suggestions like availability of Remdesivir, availability of test reports sooner from the labs, & precise planning to make oxygen supply available.

In last year’s lockdown, people were at home. Hence, tracing patients and most of their contacts was easier. Now, everything has opened up. There are practical difficulties in doing so.

Increasing vaccination coverage is the need of the hour. The youth must be vaccinated. Pfizer is planning to vaccinate adolescents between 12 to 15 years of age.

Everyone has agreed to ensure that the daily wage earners, labourers and the working classes are not hit hard while imposing stricter measures. Planning is underway to ensure this.

The surge in the daily number of patients is rapid, if a decision about the lockdown is not taken today, a lockdown-like situation will automatically come into force tomorrow.

On one hand, there is public sentiment, and on the other, the Corona pandemic. In this situation, we will have to bear some hardship to win this battle.

I am speaking to people across various sectors. Yesterday, I spoke to directors of private hospitals. Everyone is ready to co-operate with the Government. The opinions of the members of the task force are also being considered.

By prioritising the health of the people of the state, I appeal to all party leaders, to extend their full cooperation to the decisions taken by the state government.

Only 3 states have received more than 1 crore vaccine supply: Devendra Fadnavis

Devendra Fadnavis – Former CM, Maharashtra :

Only 3 states have received more than 1 crore vaccine supply : Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan. Gujarat & Rajasthan has equal population. Rajasthan has Congress Govt in power.

Vaccine supply is not on the basis of population but purely based on State’s performance of execution of vaccination process.

Maharashtra received 1.06 crore vaccines as mentioned in official State Govt tweet from DGIPR on 6thApril.

91 lakh vaccines got used; means 15lakh still left with GoM.

So why are vaccination centres deliberately shut down today & why peltering of false news?

Whichever states have requested for more vaccine supplies or has pendency from alloted quota, such supply is in pipleline and Maharashtra to receive another 19 lakh vaccines between 9th to 12th April.

Uttar Pradesh is the largest State & received 92 lakh vaccines. They have used 83 lakh doses and 9 lakh are remaining with them.

Even Haryana has not received much vaccine in the first round, but getting it now.

Shri Sharad Pawar ji spoke to Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan ji who assured him of all the assistance to GoM.

I also discussed with Union Health Minister. He assured that there was never ever any biased approach towards Maharashtra & supplies are smooth.

Since day 1 of Covid19 Pandemic, the Government of India, taking all states on board, has taken measures unitedly and in that too Maharashtra has been given maximum assistance.

Even today, GoI under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji, is providing all support to GoM to serve better, the people of Maharashtra.

Ventilators – NOT available!
Remdesivir – NOT available!
Oxygenated beds – NOT available!
Simple bed occupancy – NOT available!

BUT… Vaccines are available & more will come too

Moreover, due lack of even basic facilities, sufferings of the people are on a rise day by day. Does the Maharashtra CM and Ministers even care to pay attention to this?

Undoubtedly, COVID19 & vaccination are important issues for our State. But since there is constant criticism on mis-governance of MVA & various exposes in courts lately, its an Absolute Shame that vaccination politics is being played to divert people’s attention!

It is my earnest request to MVA to STOP such dirty politics and focus on improving the health of our Maharashtra !

The Centre is targeting Maharashtra on the spread of COVID-19 ignoring hard facts: P Chidambaram

P Chidambaram – Former Union Finance Minister:

The Centre is targeting Maharashtra on the spread of COVID-19 ignoring hard facts

Maharashtra has vaccinated 80 per cent of healthcare workers. Nearly 20 states are behind Maharashtra

Maharashtra has vaccinated 73 per cent of frontline workers. Only 5 states have done better

In vaccinating senior citizens, Maharashtra stands fifth in the country

These facts are from the Union Health Minister’s statement!

The Union Health Minister should stand before a mirror and ask the question if the Centre has supplied enough vaccine doses to Maharashtra

The Centre has made a complete mess of the vaccination programme including the non-supply of sufficient doses of vaccines

The Sachin Vaze controversy.. : Prakash Javadekar

The Sachin Vaze controversy, planting of bomb by police and “Vasooli” by Home Minister of a state & the list goes on….

Such pervasive corruption shows the character of the ruling alliance in Maharashtra.

They have no right to remain in power and we demand their resignation.

Maharashtra CM asks for 1.5 crore more doses of Vaccine for the state: Aaditya Thackeray

Aaditya Thackeray – Minister, Maharashtra Govt.:

CM Uddhav Thackeray ji has written to the Prime Minister to lower the age of eligibility of vaccination to 25.

This will help us vaccinate a larger population that is young and working.

He also has asked for 1.5 crore more doses for Maharashtra, as we have ramped up our vaccination.

Currently we are the leading state in vaccination.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Govt of India for accepting his earlier suggestion of lowering the age to 45 for vaccination.

A welcome coordination: Aaditya Thackeray

Aaditya Thackeray – Minister, Maharashtra Govt.:

On 17th March CM Uddhav Thackeray ji requested the Centre in the PM- CMs’ VC to open up the vaccination drive to everyone above 45 years old.

Today (23 March) the Union Health Ministry has opened it up to everyone above 45.

Such coordination is welcome and indeed healthy for the nation.

Sharad Pawar India News

My suggestion to the CM of Maharashtra is that, Mr. Julio Francis Ribeiro should be assigned the responsibility of inquiring the allegations made against the State’s Home Minister: Sharad Pawar

Sharad Pawar – President, NCP:

In my Press Conference at New Delhi I expressed my views regarding the letter which was issued by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh to Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Uddhav Thackeray.

The copy of that unsigned letter which I have received has two parts. In first part, there are certain allegations against the Maharashtra Home Minister Mr. Anil Deshmukh and the second part is regarding his directions to the CP against his advice regarding the FIR to be registered in the case of Diu-Daman MP Mr. Delkar who committed suicide in Mumbai.

The allegations against the Home Minister are serious in the first part of the letter. As per the letter former CP of Mumbai mentioned that he has briefed CM and me too.

In his briefing to me as stated in the letter, he did not mention about the actual collected money or the money being transferred or handed over to the Home Minister or his staff.

As former CP of Mumbai mentioned my name, it is true that he met me before his transfer.

He discussed with me the case regarding Mr. Ambani’s residence and the sensitive material found. Meanwhile media started collecting information about Mr. Sachin Vaze and some others stated that Mr. Vaze though suspended was recently reinstated in service.

The decision to reinstate Mr. Vaze in service was neither taken by Chief Minister nor Home Minister. It was taken by former CP himself and Vaze was given important sensitive assignments by the CP himself.

However after that Mr. Mansukh Hiren’s wife had complained that Vaze is involved in her husband’s death. As there was a specific allegation against the officer by the deceased person’s wife, our government took conscious decision to go in depth and investigate the matter.

But while the deceased person’s wife made such strong allegation, the former CP never mentioned or alleged anything against the Home Minister. All his allegations came forth when govt took action against him and he was shifted to less important department.

This is a really important and sensitive case. The allegations are made by an authority against Home Minister and also there are series of lapses towards confidential information leaked to certain sections of media, which affected the reputation of government.

An in depth enquiry should be conducted by an officer or an individual who enjoys utmost respect of the Police Administration and the public at large.

My suggestion to the CM of Maharashtra is that, Mr. Julio Francis Ribeiro, former Police Chief of Maharashtra and former CP of Mumbai, should be assigned this responsibility.

He has a great reputation and if he accepts this responsibility then the truth will definitely come to the fore and public at large will start believing more in the Police and in the government in particular.

MVA’s actions are totally opposite to their words: Devendra Fadnavis

Devendra Fadnavis – Former CM, Maharashtra :

Height of hypocrisy again!

On one hand our CM in Legislative Assembly said, “We will find Sharjeel Usmani from any corner of the world and nab him anyhow”.

BUT MVA’s actions are totally opposite to their words.

In reality, Sharjeel came again in Pune, countered, slapped a reply to CM, went back!

Just to protect him & help getting bail easily, section 295A of IPC (used for outraging religious sentiments) too got systematically removed from basic complaint, while registering the FIR by State.

So, only section 153A (for promoting enmity between different groups) is invoked in the FIR.

When Sharjeel attempted to wage a war against our Nation during Elgar Parishad, we assumed that all respective sections of IPC including 124a (sedition), 295a will be invoked by the State.

On top of all this, they are being helped by MVA to get bail

Uddhav ji, how many more offenders will you protect for the desperation of power

I wish to wash away the misunderstanding, that Vidarbha has been kept away from developmental works, with the waters of the massive Gosi Khurd dam: Uddhav Thackeray

CMO Maharashtra:

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s speech at the inauguration of the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park in Nagpur:

Let me start by greeting you on the occasion of Republic Day.

As days go, we are realizing the importance of the environment. However, while we conserve our jungles, there are some ideas of development that often infringes on our ecology.

This inauguration of the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park is my third visit to Vidarbha in the past few days.

I was here to survey the Gosi Khurd irrigation project, take stock of the unfortunate Bhandara District Hospital fire. A month before that, I was here to survey the Samruddhi expressway.

First, I want to dispel the misunderstanding that Vidarbha has been kept away from developmental works. I wish to wash these notions away with the waters of the massive Gosi Khurd dam.

We want to ensure that the Nagpur to Shirdi stretch of the Samruddhi expressway, is opened up for traffic from May 1.

I am promising my adivasi brothers & sisters that once this zoological park is completed, a Gondwana theme park or Gondwana gaon will be created here. It will showcase the rich history, culture, tradition and way of life.

Tourism is a major industry now. In tourist destinations abroad like the Masai Mara reserve, the culture of the local Masai people is projected. Similarly, the lives and culture of the Gonds and Gondwana will be shown here to visitors from across the globe.

In normal zoos, animals are kept confined in cages. However, this zoological park will be different due to the presence of the free-ranging animals, and also have a night safari like one in Singapore.

My grandmother, that is Balasaheb’s mother, was from Paratwada in Amravati, so Vidarbha’s blood runs in our veins. Hence, no one should try to teach us about love for Vidarbha. We are related to Vidarbha by blood.

Our Maha Vikas Aghadi Govt is committed to ensure that Maharashtra moves forward on the path of development.

Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra!
