After a 3-day break for Diwali and Kharge-ji’s taking over, Bharat Jodo Yatra will resume at 6am tomorrow from Makhtal in Narayanpet district of Telangana.

Farmer interactions will take place at 2pm, as always.
Bharat Yatris including Rahul Gandhi are refreshed & eager to restart.

The tone & tenor of Day 44 of Bhara Jodo Yatra was set by the entry into Karnataka from Andhra Pradesh with a sea of people crossing the bridge over Tungabhadra.

The road was filled with people till the end of padayatra well into the evening, despite the heat & traffic jams.

Rahul Gandhi had 2 interactions in the afternoon.

One with farmers from Raichur & North Karnataka who demanded legal guarantee for MSP, and raised issues of collusion of officials with private insurance providers in the Fasal Bima Yojana, and listed many other challenges

Rahul Gandhi also met a delegation of OBC groups who made 7 demands, including caste census, sub-categorisation in all reservations, representation in judiciary, etc.

He listened patiently to demands of both groups, and promised support of Congress to all their just demands

Padayatris still reached the morning halt at Sanikere 14 kms away as per schedule.

The enthusiasm of all sections of the society to walk with Rahul Gandhi has been amazing in Karnataka.

As the evening Yatra begins the clouds gather near Challakere in Chitradurga where ISRO, DRDO, BARC and IISc form part of the Science City that is coming up.
