Farmer interactions will take place at 2pm, as always.

Mr Rahul Gandhi will be attending the AICC function for Khargeji on Oct 26th.
Bharat Jodo Yatra will resume on Oct 27th from Mahbubnagar district in Telangana.

The tone & tenor of Day 44 of Bhara Jodo Yatra was set by the entry into Karnataka from Andhra Pradesh with a sea of people crossing the bridge over Tungabhadra.
The road was filled with people till the end of padayatra well into the evening, despite the heat & traffic jams.
Rahul Gandhi had 2 interactions in the afternoon.
One with farmers from Raichur & North Karnataka who demanded legal guarantee for MSP, and raised issues of collusion of officials with private insurance providers in the Fasal Bima Yojana, and listed many other challenges
Rahul Gandhi also met a delegation of OBC groups who made 7 demands, including caste census, sub-categorisation in all reservations, representation in judiciary, etc.
He listened patiently to demands of both groups, and promised support of Congress to all their just demands

Day 43 of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kurnool district has been long and hot, but hugely rewarding.
It started very early, with enthusiastic crowds throughout the day, very productive interactions, and a visit by Rahul Gandhi to a cotton farm on the way to Mantralayam.

On the afternoon of the 42nd day of Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi met with the nephew of Damodaram Sanjeeviah who was the first Dalit chief minister in 1960 and the first Dalit Congress President in 1962.
60 years later, Kharge follows in Sanjeeviah’s footsteps.

They explained that with no help from the govt an added burden comes from renting machines & how GST is forcing them to shut down units.

An eventful 39th day of Bharat Jodo Yatra draws to a close in Ballari.
Tomorrow is a rest day and on Tuesday the Yatra enters Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
We will return to Karnataka on 22nd for 2 days in Raichur. 24th & 25th are again rest days because of Diwali/Deepavali.

Today afternoon during Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi met entrepreneurs & workers in textile sector from Ballari, that employs over a lakh people.
He promised the incoming INC govt in Karnataka will take up challenge of turning Ballari into a global textile hub, especially jeans.

Day 36 of Bharat Jodo Yatra has reached morning halt at Konasagara after walking 12kms.
Met son of the local organiser Reshma Suresh, young Sudarshan Nayaka, a tribal boy with dreams of becoming an IAS officer.
He’s a student of Navodaya Vidyalaya, a hugely empowering institution.

Day 35 of Bharat Jodo Yatra began at 640am from Challakere and the entire day will be in the historic Chitradurga district.
The afternoon interaction of Rahul Gandhi will be with around 2000 unemployed youth from all over Karnataka who face a bleak future in so-called ‘New India’.

Day 34 of Bharat Jodo Yatra started at 730 am from Harthikote, 1 hour late, due to heavy rains.
Padayatris still reached the morning halt at Sanikere 14 kms away as per schedule.
The enthusiasm of all sections of the society to walk with Rahul Gandhi has been amazing in Karnataka.
As the evening Yatra begins the clouds gather near Challakere in Chitradurga where ISRO, DRDO, BARC and IISc form part of the Science City that is coming up.

Entire day will be spent in Tumkuru district that contributes more than 1/3rd of total coconut production in Karnataka.
An interaction with coconut farmers is planned in afternoon.
