75 years ago, India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru unfurled the national flag for the first time at Lal Chowk.
Today noon after the completion of the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir Rahul Gandhi unfurled the national flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar.

Today noon Kanyakumari to Kashmir Bharat Jodo Yatra completed at Lal Chowk after covering 4080 kms, 12 states & 2 UTs,walking for 116 days.
Rahul Gandhi addressed 12 public meetings, 100+ corner meetings, 13 PCs,alongwith 275+ planned walking interactions & 100+ sitting interactions.

Day 70 of Bharat Jodo Yatra is in Washim district the whole day.
This is the constituency represented by Vasantrao Naik, longest serving CM of Maharashtra from 1963 to 1975, & the first tribal CM of any state, right after first Dalit CM Damodaram Sanjeevaiah of Andhra Pradesh
In the morning, the Yatris walked 14 kms.
Delegations of farmers from Amravati & environmentalists from Chandrapur in Vidarbha walked with Rahul Gandhi among many others.
In the afternoon, he is meeting civil society leaders & representatives from all over Maharashtra.

Today is 68th day of Bharat Jodo Yatra & also 133rd birth anniversary of Nehru.
We are in Hingoli district & coincidentally a fine book on him in Marathi has just come out in addition to one in English & Hindi.

600 copies of Nehru’s iconic, The Discovery of India, will be distributed to Yatris today.
It was brought by a volunteer who drove all the way from Delhi for 23 hours straight at a very short notice.

Today on the 62nd day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra the padayatra started from Gurudwara Yaadgari Baba Zoravar Singh ji, Fateh Singh ki, on this holy day of Gurupurab.
The Yatris will walk in 5 districts of Maharashtra over the next 12 days.

It is the 60th Day of Bharat Jodo Yatra and it began like every morning with Pyari Jan of the Seva Dal from Mysuru leading the singing of the National Song, Dhwaj Geet, & National Anthem.

Each group has a rotating captain, with every Yatri getting a chance to become captain.

Rahul Gandhi will hoist the national flag from Char Minar where on 19.10.1990, Rajiv Gandhi started Sadbhavna Yatra.
Every year on that day, Congress has since raised the national flag here.

Day 51 of Bharat Jodo Yatra started bright and early with flag hoisting at 5:40 am from near Marikal in Telangana.
Bharat & Pradesh Yatris will walk 14 kms to the morning halt near Devarakadra, where Rahu lGandhi will interact with weavers, tribals and farmers this afternoon.
TRS and BJP are not political parties, but corrupt businesses that work together to loot people.

Today on Day 50 of Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi interacted with farmers & farmers’ representatives from different parts of Telangana.
The following issues were highlighted:
1. Tenant farmers suicides
2. Lack of crop insurance & disaster relief
3. Dharani land records portal
30% farmers in Telangana are tenant-farmers & they account for 80% of suicides since 2014 (> 6500 officially).
TRS Govt has failed miserably to provide any relief to bereaved families.
Rahul Gandhi met with widows who are still struggling to make ends meet as women farmers
Since Kharif 2020, Telangana doesn’t have any crop insurance scheme nor has it given any compensation for disasters through 2005 NDMA Act.
This has deprived lakhs of farmers of compensation when there is crop loss, the frequency of which has increased due to climate change
The much advertised Rythu Bandhu does not benefit tenant farmers & cultivators in any way.
Rahul Gandhi assured that tenant farmers and those who till the land must be registered & get full benefit of govt schemes, including bank loans, direct income transfer & crop insurance.
Farmers also complained of the Dharani scheme in Telangana. It’s criminal that a scheme to modernise land records is dispossessing tens of thousands of Dalits, Adivasis and other Backwards castes of their own lands.
Rahul Gandhi also promised that the Congress manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana will have a very sharp focus on farming issues and will be prepared after the widest possible consultations with all stakeholders
