Whatever has happened in the last two days is the murder of democracy and is autocratic and dictatorship-like in nature : J P Nadda in Telangana

BJP National President J P Nadda addresses a press conference in Hyderabad, Telangana :

Today, I’m here to show my solidarity in the fight that the Telangana BJP is fighting for the people and employees of the state.

The Joint Commissioner of Police of the state informed me on the airport that the Govt has ordered to follow of the COVID norms. I informed him that we will follow all norms and will pay our respects to Gandhi Ji’s statue and will pray for strengthening of our democracy.

The situation of the govt was exposed at that time. I asked the Joint Commissioner of Police – Do we have the permission now? He answered that he didn’t know. That means that the administration was bent upon stopping me, but did not have any answer.

Under the leadership of KCR, the govt of Telangana is the most undemocratic govt. Whatever has happened in the last two days is the murder of democracy and is autocratic and dictatorship-like in nature.

Sanjay Ji had decided to do a peaceful protest. He organized an over-night protest jagran at his office. On the pretext of COVID, police broke into his office by destroying steel doors. They inflicted tear gas & water cannons, manhandled Sanjay Ji & lathicharged the BJP workers.

He has lost his sense of proportion, the way he’s behaving. Dharnas have been stopped – by govt orders – and the HC had to intervene. This is the sad state of affairs of Telangana as a state.

Kaleshwaram has become an ATM for KCR. The original project was of Rs 36,000 crore. Now the project has become worth Rs 1,20,000 crore. The water has only reached his farmhouse, and nowhere else.

The Palamuru Rangareddy is also ready and has been inaugurated, but not a drop of water has reached the people.

We will take all legal course and use all democratic methods to fight this battle. The BJP will not stop despite any challenge.

The BJP will continue is fighting and will continue to fight till we defeat this undemocratic govt in the state.

Currently a pilgrim must have a passport to visit Kartarpur Sahib. I will urge GOI to work with the Pakistan govt to allow entry with an aadhar card : Capt. Amarinder Singh

Capt. Amarinder Singh, Former CM, Punjab :

During my tenure Punjab Govt had announced to bear the $20 fees for the pilgrims visiting Kartarpur sahib via the corridor, however due to Covid restrictions the passage was closed.

To ensure ‘Khule Darshan Didar’ of the holy shrine, Govt of Punjab must implement this decision.

Currently a pilgrim must have a passport to visit Kartarpur Sahib.

I will urge GOI to relax this requirement & to work with the Pakistan govt to allow entry with an aadhar card.

I am hopeful that both governments will agree to this in the interest of Nanak Naam Leva Sangat.

PM Narendra Modi inaugurates 13 Projects worth over ₹1,850 crores in Manipur & lays the foundation stone of 9 projects worth around ₹2,950 crore; spanning across sectors such as Road Infrastructure, Drinking Water Supply, Health, Urban Development, IT & more :

A few days from now, on January 21, Manipur will complete 50 years of statehood. I am sure that North East is all set to become the new gate of development for the country.

Manipur will become the main source of India’s growth trajectory & will stretch its potential to other parts of India via enhanced road connectivity & infrastructure projects.

The North East, where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s army hoisted the flag for the first time calling it the gateway to India’s independence, is now becoming the gateway to fulfill the dreams of New India.

60% of households in Manipur have got access to clean tap water through the Har Ghar Jal programme, reflecting the commitment of the ‘double-engine’ sarkar.

Manipur has seen commendable success in various areas:
1. 80,000 houses have sanctioned under PM Awas Yojana
2. 4,25,000 people have benefitted under Ayushman Bharat Mission
3. 1.5 lakh free gas & 1.3 lakh free electricity connection have been provided
4. 30,000 houses now have toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission
4. 30,000 houses now have toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission
5. 30 lakh free vaccine doses have been administered so far.

Today, Manipur is becoming a symbol of a new culture of change. Though connectivity is a priority, Creativity is equally important.

Mount Harriet in Andaman was named Mount Manipur as a tribute to our freedom fighters.

New development projects in the pipeline have proved that the ‘double-engine’ government is dedicated to shifting its focus from ‘Don’t look east’ to ‘Act-East’.

The Palm Oil mission is worth ₹11,000 core & will enable farmers in the northeast to become Aatmanirbhar and reduce dependence on imports.
