Testing strategy in Karnataka has been revised as per the Advisory of Purposive Testing Strategy issued by the ICMR.

The new strategy advises testing only symptomatic people, At-risk groups and international travellers.

COVID cases continue to dip in Karnataka:

New cases in State: 38,083
New cases in B’lore: 17,717
Positivity rate in State: 20.44%
Discharges: 67,236
Active cases State: 3,28,711 (B’lore- 189k) Deaths:49 (B’lore- 12)
Tests: 1,86,313

185 new Omicron cases are confirmed in Bengaluru today taking the overall tally in the State to 1,115.

Ministry of Health :

  • India’s Covid19 Testing Per Million crosses 10,000.
  • 23 States/UTs have recorded higher Tests Per Million than the national average.
  • Aggressive testing, timely tracing/tracking and prompt treatment are the key in the fight against COVID19.
