Perturbed at unwholesome turn of events in the assembly during Governor’s Address: Jagdeep Dhankhar – WB Governor

Perturbed at unwholesome turn of events in the assembly during Governor’s Address.

More sad than hurt at the unexpected blockade attempt by lady Ministers & MLAs.

Our culture tainted.

Unprecedented -Marshal defied directive of the Chair.

Temple of Democracy stood ravaged.

Anguished that my plea to maintain order in the House fell on flat ears. Had to reason to contain aggressive postures of sister MLAs and Ministers who unfortunately ignored decency and propriety.

Sad that the Treasury and Opposition Benches contributed to “disorder” in the House.

Jagdeep Dhankhar – Governor, West Bengal

Punjab Assembly passed ‘APMC Amendment Act 2021’ to prevent privatisation & to counter the three farm laws of the Union Govt. : Charanjit Channi

Charanjit Channi – CM, Punjab:

Punjab assembly unanimously passed a resolution against Centre’s decision to extend the jurisdiction of the BSF to a 50 km belt along the international border in state.

We are committed to protect Punjab and if required will approach Supreme court in this matter.

I had met the Centre Govt to appeal them to seal international boarder within 5 kilometer jurisdiction to curb smuggling of drugs.

But Akali Dal does not want this as it desires to continue flow of drugs into state so that they can annihilate future of Punjab.

Punjab government tabled a White Paper on power sector including PPA agreements signed during Akali regime in the Vidhan Sabha today.

I want to reiterate my firm stand to Punjabis that now accountability will be fixed and exemplary action to be initiated against perpetrators.

House passed bill to abolish Contract Farming Act, 2013 implemented by Akali Dal.

Assembly also passed ‘APMC Amendment Act 2021’ to prevent privatisation & to counter 3 draconian farm laws of Union Govt.

Punjab Govt. will continue to support farmers in their battle for survival & Justice
