Kerala is not just a state, Kerala is an idea, a way of looking at the world.
Was demonetisation a humble decision? One evening, the PM doesn’t listen to anybody, turns around and says I am demonetising India’s currency and with his arrogance, he shatters millions and millions of lives.
Few months after demonetisation, without a conversation with anybody, he says at midnight, I am passing GST, and again destroys the Indian economy.
Why are lakhs and lakhs of farmers standing outside Delhi? Because again a decision has been taken with absolutely no respect.
In every single government, where BJP is not present, PM uses CBI and ED to overthrow the government, to attack the government. I want to understand why they are not doing that to the LDF government. It is a mystery to me.
Congress is not just an organisation, it is an idea. BJP is not worried about the organisation, they are worried about the idea. The idea is very simple- togetherness, sameness, respect, affection. The Congress builds on this idea.
The idea of Congress and the idea of Kerala share many many things- mutual respect, affection, togetherness, conversation, belief in other people and the ability to see someone else’s pain.
The BJP and the RSS know that the day there is togetherness, affection and the ability to see each other’s pain, the BJP and RSS are gone.
The BJP has destroyed India’s biggest strength, our economy. How dare they come here asking for votes? They have made us a laughing stock in front of the rest of the world.
Kerala is going to be the first state in India that is not going to have a single poor person after the UDF government comes to power.

Any type of division in this country, weakens this country. The same applies to Kerala, any division of the state will weaken the state.
Whatever progress you see in India today, whatever institutions you see today have all come out of the Congress ideology.
The success of India so far has come as a result of the work of the people of India & the Congress party.
The first thing that the UDF will give Kerala, is a peaceful, harmonious, tranquil Kerala.
For the first time in this state’s history, we are going to guarantee a minimum income for every citizen in Kerala.
Rs. 6000 a month, Rs. 72,000 a year will go into every poor person’s account until that person is out of poverty.
NYAY Yojana is going to solve 3 problems:
1. The problem of poverty – there will be no poor people left in Kerala
2. Unemployment
3. Economic stagnation.
We come with intelligent solutions. We don’t look at Karl Marx’s book to find these solutions, we look to you to find these solutions.
We appeal not to the intelligence of one man, but to the intelligence of the people of Kerala.
So proud that 50% of our candidates in Kerala are between the age of 20 and 40.

What is the point of making promises to people during elections if you cannot fulfil even a single one of them after elections.

This country was peaceful, harmonious, respectful of each other and now the country is angry, full of hatred, divided and not respecting each other.
I have come here to speak to you about the future of Kerala and I have come here with a concrete plan which we have developed working with you, the people of Kerala.
First thing we’ll do is put a massive amount of money in Kerala’s economy. But we won’t give this money to 2-3 businessmen or an organisation like PM Modi or Kerala CM do. We are going to give this money to people of Kerala in their bank accounts.
These ideas come from you. You are our organisation. Every single person in Kerala is our organisation.
I want you to ask the CPM, RSS, Left Front how they are going to solve Kerala’s economic problem?
How are they going to ensure our youngsters get jobs?
I guarantee you, they will not be able to answer your question.
Do not support an ideology that divides the country, that spreads hatred, anger. Support an ideology that’s affectionate, that believes in brotherhood and in bringing people together. That is why you should support the UDF and the Congress.

When the UDF comes to power we will guarantee ₹ 250 a kilo for rubber. We are not doing rubber farmers a favour, we are doing this because we understand without doing this, we cannot start the economy of Kerala.
If you want an economy to function, if you want jobs to be created, the first thing you need is harmony in the state.
Second, you need to put money in people’s hands and that is what we are going to do when we come to power in Kerala.
Modi is an instrument of 2-3 people, who want to take India’s wealth away from India. Modi is an entity, who will do anything for power.
CM & PM take money everyday – from autowalas, from people who drive scooters/cars (when they buy fuel), from housewives (when they buy costlier gas). When prices go up, money is taken away from our people & given to business people.
The left front has stolen the future of the youth from them. One of the highest unemployment rates in the country is in Kerala. If you want a job in Kerala, you have to be a member of the left organisation.
For Kerala CM, protesting youth are his enemies. It’s like the PM calling protesting farmers- terrorists. Same idea, if you are against him, you are a terrorist, you are a murderer. If you are against him, you are anti-nationa
That is the difference between us and them, for us you all are our own people. We sometimes might disagree with you but we will work with you.
UDF will give Kerala a vision, a direction and harmony. And we will put money in your pocket directly so you can help us start the economy and start the job creation of this state.

I recently met senior Kerala leaders in Delhi and I told them that in the coming assembly elections there are a few things that we have to achieve.
I said that the UDF must view this as a special election, one that will give Kerala a vision forward
I recommend that when we build our manifesto, it should be an exercise that includes and involves all the people of Kerala.
It should be a mass manifesto not one built in closed doors. One that captures the imagination of the people of Kerala
We should go to polls saying this is UDF’s commitment to people of Kerala. If we are asking people for their support then we have to show them what we are going to give them.
I also told them that we have to create a balance between experienced and young people
Experienced people represent the present and wisdom and young people represent the future. I said, our candidates must reflect this and these candidates should inspire the people of Kerala
The process of choosing these people should be more transparent and should take into account the hard work done at the Panchayat level and it should reward people from the grassroots
The final thing I said to them is that we are involved in an ideological battle. We have an ideological fight with the Govt in Delhi and an ideological fight with the Govt in Kerala
You know the damage the PM is doing to the fabric of the nation. For the first time, Chinese troops are sitting inside Indian territory.
Our economy, one the best performing in the world, has collapsed. Our youngsters simply cannot get jobs
This is the result of the ideology of the RSS. Of course the PM is incompetent but the real cause of this failure is the hatred that the RSS is spreading throughout the country
You know left front better than me, you face/fight them everyday. You know the damage their policies have done to Kerala.
This election is important as it is an ideological election, one that shows the vision going forward for Kerala, one that transforms Kerala
I am ready to help in whatever way I can. We are a family. I believe in the Congress worker, the Congress grassroot soldiers and the Congress leadership.
I am confident the UDF will sweep the coming election
