Reports in social media that Special train services will be cancelled from 31st March is misleading: Ministry of Railways

Ministry of Railways:

Kindly refer to some news report in social media that Railways is going to cancel its trains which are currently operational from 31st March,2021 is purely misleading and not based on facts.

Wrong news clips are being circulated in social media.  

All may please be informed that the video being circulated is last year’s news being peddled today.

Indian Railways has not made any such announcement.

It may be noted that express trains and suburban trains currently operational as special trains will continue to run.

It is also requested that the passengers may follow covid protocol while travelling.

3 Special trains leaving New Delhi today

  • Railways restores 3 Special Trains from New Delhi today, in which a total of 3,461 passengers will travel.
  • Restoring passenger train services in a graded manner, 8 trains in all are departing from various cities across the country today.
  • Total 1177 passengers are booked in the New Delhi Bilaspur special train.
  • 1122 passengers are booked in New Delhi Dibrugarh special Train and
  • 1162 passengers are booked in New Delhi- Bengaluru special Train.
