For the first time, people will have access to data on water quality at their fingertips: GS Shekhawat

I look forward to discussing the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission with States/ UT’s Ministers in-charge of water supply at the Conference tomorrow.

Having provided clean tap water to 7 Crore rural homes, we are intensifying implementation to reach the goal of Har Ghar Jal by 2024.

‘Drinking Water Quality Monitoring & Surveillance Framework’ developed by National Jal Jeevan Mission will be released in tomorrow’s conference.

The guidelines will help States/UTs in ensuring proper functioning of laboratories, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of tap water and sources.

In line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of transparency, accountability, and good governance, Jal Jeevan Mission Water Quality Management Information System (JJM-WQMIS) will be launched tomorrow.

For the first time, people will have access to data on water quality at their fingertips.
