Devendra Fadnavis, @Dev_Fadnavis – Former Maharashtra CM:
- Had a very good interaction with traders and many representatives of business associations this afternoon.
- Today, we are facing a rare situation due to #COVID19 and the longest #lockdown ever.
- It is more than a month now & GoI is trying hard to give whatever possible relaxations but keeping in mind the health of our Nation.
- Some more permissions have been given to businesses and shops except for malls, yesterday.
- GoI is taking many required decisions from time to time.
- We also need to decide on how to live our life by following rules of social distancing in future too.
- We have to accept this reality & realign ourselves mentally to live in this era for next few months.
- We also discussed on settlement of commercial insurance claims, release of pending payments by governments, deferment of various payments, prioritisation of resources, implementation of decisions of RBI by various banks, smooth transport of goods and many steps of infusing liquidity.
- I am happy that all these traders are not only placing forth their demands but also contributing to a great extent socially, by providing assistance to the needy in a very organised way.
- Issues of unorganised sector, proper utilisation of manpower while protecting jobs and policy of ‘Be Indian, Buy Indian’ are some the other issues discussed in this meeting.
- I also appealed to work more for the society with whatever strength we have. This is an exceptional situation we are facing in our life, globally. We need to show our strength and unity against #Coronavirus !
