Have asked Capt Amarinder Singh to order a ‘girdwari’ (special revenue assessment) to gauge damage caused to kharif crops in Abohar villages & also hike the crop compensation rates.
CM must release compensation for damage to houses & crops as it is a result of his govt’s negligence.
The Congress govt failed to get drains cleaned before monsoon. Farmers had even staged dharna to draw attention to an overflowing drain, but all in vain.
The govt should now supply fodder for milch animals & also ensure that essential services are restored without further delay.
