• During the meeting of State/UT Road Transport Ministers via video conferencing, emphasised on taking urgent action to remove blockades in interstate movements of trucks carrying essential goods.
• We need to follow health advisories, maintain social distancing while ensuring movement and safety of drivers and also at dhabas. A helpline number will be started soon to resolve transportation issues.
• We target to increase the speed of road construction by 2-3 times in the next few years. We can explore operationalising App-based two-wheeler taxis, especially in rural areas to assist farming communities with smoother movement.
