Dr S Jaishankar – External Affairs Minister :

A warm and productive meeting with FM Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia today. Discussed a roadmap to take our bilateral cooperation forward. Agreed on enhancing our trade, education and cultural exchanges.

Recognised our shared interests in strengthening connectivity, including the International North South Transport corridor. Briefed each other on our respective regional developments. India supports the OSCE Minsk process.

Will cooperate closely in international organisations and multilateral forums.

Pleasure to meet President Alensi Monyan of the National Assembly of Armenia. Discussed the importance of nurturing the bonds between our two parliamentary democracies. Spoke about bringing our people closer together through greater cooperation in different domains.

Appreciated the President’s perspective on regional and international issues of shared interest.

Paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in Yerevan. Thank FM Ararat Mirzoyan for joining me on this occasion. Together, we planted a tree of friendship.

Wonderful to see Indian students and Armenian friends of India in Yerevan. Appreciate the efforts made by the Government of Armenia for the welfare of our students.

Thank PM Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia for receiving me today. Conveyed greetings of PM Narendra Modi. Meeting brought out the many convergences and shared outlook of our two countries. We agreed to develop a broad agenda of practical cooperation that is to our mutual benefit.
