‘Online ‘Labour Employment Exchange’ should be created so that workers facing crisis due to lockdown can get employment according to their skills’

Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan :

  • Instructions have been given to the officials that in view of the situation arising due to COVID19Pandemic, an online ‘Labour Employment Exchange’ should be created in the state so that workers facing crisis due to lockdown can get employment according to their skills.
  • Due to the nationwide lockdown, a large number of migrant workers have come to Rajasthan and many have gone from here to other states.
  • Department of Labour should impart training to the workers who have returned according to their qualifications and requirements of the industries, so that these workers can be employed in enterprises and earn their livelihood.
  • Also, production could be started in large industrial units, which closed due to non-availability of workers.
