Shiromani Akali Dal warns CM Bhagwant Mann to immediately withdraw his statement on Chandigarh or be ready to face a full scale agitation.

We also want to apprise the Centre that we will not allow Haryana to takeover land in Chandigarh for building a new Vidhan Sabha and High Court.

Shiromani Akali Dal also appeals to PM Narendra Modi to listen to the sentiments of Punjabis & transfer Chandigarh to Punjab.

GOI is only a caretaker of Chandigarh whose status as a UT is only temporary in nature. The Rajiv-Gandhi accord which was passed by parliament has never been nullified.

SAD core committee will meet in 2 days & decide on the next course of action in case Bhagwant Mann doesn’t withdraw his statement & announce that he won’t allow allotment of land to Haryana in Chandigarh besides calling for resolution to all pending issues including status of Panjab University
