Kharge Sahib is right — this is unconscionable: Shashi Tharoor

Shashi Tharoor – MP, Congress leader :

Kharge Sahib is right — this is unconscionable.

Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh & Muslims in Tripura are equally condemnable, but the latter are taking place in our country, & the moral responsibility to act is our Government’s.

Communalism must be resisted wherever it arises.

Strongly condemn the ongoing communal strife in Tripura. Govt remaining a mute spectator to VHP vandalising Mosques and destroying properties is a unpardonable.

This is the result of negligence by the state BJP Govt & its propagation of such communal hate-mongering.

Mallikarjun Kharge – Leader of Opposition, Rajya Sabha
