Not only I established rule of law & ensured transparent governance, but maintained ethical conduct even in management of political affairs: Capt Amarinder Singh

Capt Amarinder Singh – Former CM, Punjab:

Former Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh wrote to Congress President Sonia Gandhi yesterday, apprising her of his decision to resign:

Anguished at political events of last ~5 months, which were not based on full understanding of the national imperatives of Punjab and its key concerns

Notwithstanding my personal anguish, I hope this (developments in INC Punjab) won’t damage hard-earned peace & development in Punjab, and the efforts I have been focusing on, would continue unabated, ensuring justice to one and all

People of Punjab are looking up to INC India for its mature & effective public policies, which not only reflect upon good politics, but also address the concerns of the common man that are specific to this border State

Did my best as CM of Punjab, which is border state with many geo-political & other internal security concerns, which I tried to handle effectively without any compromise. Happy that State remained fully peaceful, with complete communal harmony

Not only I established rule of law & ensured transparent governance, but maintained ethical conduct even in management of political affairs, winning 8 out of 13 seats in the Parliament Elections in 2019 and the PRI and ULB Elections decisively

Ashok Gehlot – Chief Minister, Rajasthan:

I hope that Capt. Amarinder Singh ji won’t take any step that could cause damage to the Congress party.

Capt. Sahib himself has said that the party made him CM and allowed him to continue as CM for nine and a half years.

He has worked to the best of his capacity and served the people of Punjab.

Capt. Amarinder Singh ji is a respected leader of the party and I hope that he will continue to work in the future also keeping the Party’s interests in the forefront.
