Briefed the Floor Leaders of all political parties today on Afghanistan.

37 leaders from 31 parties attended. Thank them all.

There is longstanding national sentiment on Afghanistan. Therefore there is national concern now at developments.
We are gathered with a national spirit.

Our strong friendship with the people of Afghanistan is reflected in the more than 500 projects we have there.
This friendship will continue to guide us. India’s footprint and activities naturally keep in mind the ongoing changes.

We have undertaken evacuation operations in extremely difficult conditions especially at the airport. Our immediate concern and task is evacuation and long term interest is the friendship for the Afghan people.

A landmark moment for Assam and North East, as we signed an agreement with Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL) for Ship Repair Facility (Slipway) at Pandu, Guwahati.

I am glad to be joined on this occasion by CM Himanta Biswa, MoS Shantanu & other dignitaries.

The Ship Repair Facility (Slipway) at Pandu Port will address the issue of lack of repair facility/dry docking at present in the North East.

This will avert unnecessary large haulage to Kolkata for repairs saving travel distance of 2,500 km and 35-40 days voyage period.

Our Cabinet today has approved Govt. jobs to legal heirs of all deceased farmers & farm labourers who unfortunately lost their life in the ongoing Kisan Agitation: Capt Amarinder

As a mark of respect for those who unfortunately lost their life in the ongoing Kisan Agitation, our Cabinet today has approved Government jobs to legal heirs of all such deceased farmers & farm labourers as a special measure.

Happy to share that we have today approved loan waiver up to Rs. 50,000 each of the borrowers of the Punjab Scheduled Castes Land Development & Finance Corporation (PSCFC) and Punjab Backward Classes Land Development & Finance Corporation (BACKFINCO).
