Ministry of Health and Family Welfare:
Government of India has been supporting the efforts of States and UTs for an effective Vaccination drive under the ‘Whole of Government” approach since 16th January this year.
Based on the various representations received by the Union Government, the vaccination for all adults above 18 years of age was opened with the onset of Liberalized Phase III of India’s vaccination strategy on 1st May, 2021.
Now with the aim to further universalize the countrywide vaccination drive, all citizens above 18 years of age can receive the COVID19 vaccine doses free of cost at Government health facilities.
In immediate follow-up of the Prime Minister’s announcement of these changes in the Guidelines of National COVID Vaccination program yesterday, the Union Health Ministry has placed an order with Serum Institute of India for 25 crore doses of Covishield and with Bharat Biotech for 19crore doses of Covaxin.
These 44 crore (25+19 cr) doses of COVID-19 vaccines will be available till December 2021, starting now.
Additionally, 30% of the advance for procurement of both the Covid Vaccines has been released to Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech.

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan released the second instalment of loans under the ‘Jagannanna Thodu’ scheme.
An amount of Rs 370 Cr was deposited into the accounts of 3.7 lakh Small Traders at the rate of Rs 10,000/- per Trader.
With this, a total of 9.05 lakh people would have received interest free loans totalling Rs 905 crore through the ‘Jagannanna Thodu’ scheme in two phases.
I personally witnessed during my Padayatra that many Small Traders who could not avail Bank loans depend on high interest private loans and end-up facing difficulties.
I gave a word that we will change the situation and accordingly announced the ‘Jagannanna Thodu’ scheme.
The interest burden on these loans will be borne by the Government, said AP CM YS Jagan

With industry, trade & hospitality sectors facing a severe financial crisis, it’s utmost crucial to give them a breather.
Punjab govt should waive off property tax & fixed charges on power bills for these sectors for a year to compensate them for LockDown induced losses.
Capt Amarinder Singh had promised to waive off fixed charges on power bills for 2 months last year but went back on the commitment.
If Congress govt remains insensitive & refuses to extend relief to these sectors, Akali Dal will implement these waivers once it assumes power in 2022.
Punjab govt must step in urgently & extend Rs 2 Lakh compensation to all COVID19 victim families & Rs 6000/month to all BPL families for 6 months.
