Though the Govt. will provide free vaccines to all the countrymen, those who want to pay for the same can get vaccinated at private hospitals: PM Narendra Modi

PM Modi in his address to the Nation:

This is the worst pandemic in 100 years. But our country stood together in this time of crisis

Be it increasing the production of PPE kits, to ramping up the production of Liquid Medical Oxygen. We did it all

We used our armed forces to help people. Essential medical production was ramped up in no time

In this fight, apart from following COVID Appropriate Behaviour, COVID Vaccine is the only protective gear that can save us from the virus

Vaccination is the only shield against Covid. Made in India vaccines are saving lives across the world

Imagine what would have happened if India had not developed COVID19 vaccine against the virus

If you look at the history of the last 50-60 years, you will know that it used to take decades for India to get the vaccine from abroad. Vaccine work used to be completed abroad

We have ramped up the speed of our vaccination drive. Within one year India delivered two Made In India vaccines

Within a year, India developed, not one, but two ‘Made in India’ COVIDVaccines because of the sheer hard work of our scientists

When scientists were only researching the potential COVID Vaccines, we started ramping up our vaccine storage & delivery structure

More than 23 crore Indians have been vaccinated. We trust our hardworking scientists. Logistics also played a major role in driving the Largest Vaccination Drive

Our medical staff and doctors were fully vaccinated and could serve people in the second wave

Before the coming of second wave, most of the health workers were vaccinated. Can you imagine what would have happened if our frontline workers, doctors & other hospital staff were not vaccinated against the virus?

We have also started trials to determine the safety of our vaccines on children. This will greatly help the country’s war against the virus

Today, 7 companies are working on developing vaccines. Three trials are underway. We are also researching on nasal vaccines

Today, after much deliberations, we have decided that 25% of the vaccine responsibilities that were looked after by the state governments, will now be looked after by the Centre

No State government of the country will have to spend anything on the vaccine. Government of India will provide free vaccine to all the countrymen

25% of vaccines can be purchased by the private hospitals

Though the government will provide free vaccines to all the countrymen, those who want to pay for the same can get #vaccinated at private hospitals

Private hospitals will be able to charge a maximum service charge of Rs 150 for a single dose after the fixed price of the vaccine. The task of monitoring it will remain with the state governments

We have extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till Diwali. Around 80 crore Indians will get free ration under PMGKAY

The pandemic is not over yet, we have to fight COVID19 with all our might. I am sure that we will definitely defeat this virus

I urge people to spread awareness regarding covid vaccines. We cannot let our guard down

Some people thrive on creating panic and furthering vaccine hesitancy: PM Narendra Modi

Some people thrive on creating panic and furthering vaccine hesitancy.

Such elements are doing a great disservice to the efforts to make our planet COVID-free.

PM has FINALLY listened to us & implemented what we’ve been asking all this while: Mamata Banerjee

Back in Feb ’21 & multiple times thereafter, I’d written to the PM stating our long standing demand to provide vaccines to ALL for FREE.

Took him 4 months but after much pressure, he has FINALLY listened to us & implemented what we’ve been asking all this while.

The well-being of the people of India should’ve been prioritized since the very start of this pandemic.

Unfortunately, this delayed decision by PM has already cost many lives. Hoping for a better managed Vaccination Drive this time that focuses on people & not propaganda!

I’m saying on record that for the next 20 years, I do not have any interest in taking up a ministerial post: Abhishek Banerjee

Abhishek Banerjee – National General Secretary, AITC:

“I am grateful to Mamata Banerjee and to all my senior leaders for having bestowed their faith upon me, as I begin this new journey.”

The BJP seems very rattled by my appointment and have been repeatedly raising issues of dynasty politics. Truth be told, they are not only ardent practitioners of dynastic politics but also a party that freely inducts dynastic turncoats!

I’m saying on record that for the next 20 years, I do not have any interest in taking up a ministerial post.

I challenge – with grace & humility – can Jay Shah come out and say I do not wish to be the BCCI President for the next 20 years?
