The 2 crore COVID vaccines procured through tendering will augment vaccination for the 18-44 years age group.
In addition to this, an order has been placed for 3 crore vaccines, including 1 crore Covaxin & 2 crores of Covishield.
Further, we have taken following decisions –
1 lakh pulse oximeters will be procured and distributed to all the districts and taluks.
10 lakhs additional Ivermectin is procured, and the supply will begin on May 14.
Triaging would be made mandatory to avoid unnecessary occupancy of beds.
It is also our request to all city dwellers not to go to villages for vaccination.
Wait for your turn in your city. Let’s act responsibly & win this battle against the pandemic.

I appeal to the State Govt. to transparently lay out a plan of action for vaccination & share it with the people of Karnataka: DK Shivakumar
DK Shivakumar – President, Karnataka Congress:
I have asked CM BS Yediyurappa & Dr Sudhakar to give a blueprint & timeline on how they plan to vaccinate all eligible people in Karnataka, but to no avail.
Co-Win registration & booking is cumbersome. There are issues with OTP & the few slots available are booked out within seconds.
What should those without access to CoWIN, smartphones & computers do? They are being left out of the vaccine process deliberately?
Also, there are nearly 65 lakh pending second doses for 45+ but available stock with the State Govt is not at all sufficient. What’s the solution?
The Govt is putting the lives of people at risk, especially that of our senior citizens.
I again appeal to them to transparently lay out a plan of action for vaccination & share it with the people of Karnataka.
This will give people confidence & also decrease vaccine hesitancy.

We can then vaccinate 18-44yr olds for 6 more days.
We appeal to the center to support us with regular supply of vaccine doses as this is the only way to defeat the virus!
Delhi’s Vaccination Bulletin, 11th May, 2021:
1,39,261 vaccine doses were administered yesterday, 10th May.
It is the highest single day record for Delhi.
We are grateful to the front line workers for their efforts.
Unfortunately, due to lack of availability of Covaxin for 18-44yr in Delhi, 125+ vaccination sites administering covaxin till today will be closed from tomorrow onwards.
The current Covishield stock will last 3 more days.
