Pinarayi Vijayan

Many leaders of Congress & IUML and their family members have more than one vote: Pinarayi Vijayan

Pinarayi Vijayan – CM, Kerala:

Leader of Opposition and KPCC should explain to the people of Kerala why UDF candidates in Kaipamangalam and Perumbavoor have dual votes.

Many leaders of Congress & IUML and their family members have more than one vote.

The BJP run Central Government needs to uphold federalism.

Just because they have power, it doesn’t mean that they can barge in anywhere.

If they think that they can destroy KIIFB, the people of Kerala will teach them a lesson.

A person’s name, father’s name, photograph is the same, but is registered as a voter in different Kerala assembly constituencies: RS Surjewala

RS Surjewala – General Secretary, Congress:

Congress pointed out to EC that Shri Pinarayi Vijayan’s LDF Govt is committing a fraud in tune with officials of state election machinery by inducting dubious, double voters & voters with fraudulent identities 3 Instances-:

1. Same voter is registered in different booths.

2. A person’s name, father’s name, photograph is the same, but is registered as a voter in different assembly constituencies. So ‘X’ is registered in ‘A’ constituency, then in ‘B’, then in ‘C’, so that they can vote in three different constituencies, the same person

3. Third & most scandalous, dubious thing that is being done- photograph remains same, but name changes. It is a clear cut instance of fraud! Photo is of the same person & names have changed.

Vision of curbing air pollution by 20% in the next 4 years in over 100 cities… it is not an easy task but a tough challenge which we all need to achieve together: Prakash Javadekar

Ministry of Environment via PIB India:

In the presence of Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Prakash Javadekar the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by representatives of State Pollution Control Boards, Urban Local Bodies and Institutes of Repute for 132 identified cities for implementation of city specific action plans under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).

Speaking on the occasion Shri Javadekar said that concerted efforts are required by the State Governments and all concerned for improving air quality in the country towards realizing the vision of ‘Swatch Bharat, Swatch Vayu’ and exhorted all to work in mission mode.

“Today’s initiative is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of curbing air pollution by 20% in the next 4 years in over 100 cities… it is not an easy task but a tough challenge which we all need to achieve together.” said the Union Environment Minister.

The minister took the opportunity to urge the States to quickly procure e-buses for public transport purpose sanctioned under the FAME Scheme.

Regretting that despite allocation of funds for 6000 e-buses to different cities across the country only 600 buses have been procured and are operational, he said if any city fails to utilise the funds sanctioned for procurement of e-buses the allocation will go to other cities.

The National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) is a long-term, time-bound, national level strategy to tackle air pollution problem across the country in a comprehensive manner with targets to achieve 20% to 30% reduction in Particulate Matter concentrations by 2024 (with 2017 as base year).

The city action plans have been prepared to control specific air pollution sources through multidimensional actions by brining several implementation agencies together.

Expansion of ambient air quality network, source apportionment studies, public awareness, grievance redressal mechanism and sector specific action points are part of these action plans.

For successful implementation, there was a paramount need for cooperation and coordination among State agencies and technical supervision by expert Institutions of Repute.

This MoU will facilitate smooth and binding execution of planned actions in time targeted manner. A National Knowledge Network comprising leading air quality specialists has also been constituted as a technical advisory group to support activities under NCAP and guide local Institutes of Repute (IoRs) in conducting air quality researches.

Twice, the people of Tamil Nadu have defeated the dynastic politics.

People of Tamil Nadu know that it is only the NDA, under the guidance of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, who will script the bright future for Tamil Nadu.

First visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi since Covid Pandemic! : MEA

First visit of the Prime Minister Narendramodi since Covid Pandemic! Highlights the priority India attaches to Bangladesh.

Arindam Bagchi, official spokesperson, MEA

PM’s departure statement ahead of his visit to Bangladesh

I will be visiting Bangladesh on 26-27 March 2021, at the invitation of Her Excellency Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

I am happy that my first foreign visit after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic will be to our friendly neighbouring country, with which India shares deep cultural, linguistic and people-to-people ties.

I look forward to my participation at the National Day celebrations tomorrow, which will also commemorate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  Bangabandhu was one of the tallest leaders of the last Century, whose life and ideals continue to inspire millions.  I look forward to visiting Bangabandhu’s Samadhi in Tungipara to pay my respects to his memory.

I also look forward to offering prayers to Goddess Kali at the ancient Jashoreshwari Kali Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in the Puranic tradition.

I am particularly looking forward to my interaction with representatives of the Matua community at Orakandi, from where Sri SriHarichandra Thakur ji disseminated his pious message.

I will be having substantive discussions with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, following our very productive virtual meeting in December last year. I also look forward to my meeting with His Excellency President Abdul Hamid, and to interactions with other Bangladeshi dignitaries.

My visit will not only be an occasion to convey appreciation for Bangladesh’s remarkable economic and developmental strides under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visionary leadership, but also to commit India’s abiding support for these achievements.  I will also express India’s support and solidarity for Bangladesh’s fight against COVID-19.
