Demanding authority indicates lack of confidence & belongingness. The more evident one’s authority is, the less sensitive & effective it will be. The subtler you become, the more authority you gain. A wise person will not demand authority but will simply assume it.:

P Chidambaram – Former Union Finance Minister:

Chapter 2 of the Economic Survey is a tutorial designed for the current Finance Minister.

All the gobbledygook of Chapter 2 can be summarised in three words: “Borrow and Spend” — when faced with a slowing economy.

The CEA has rebuked the government for pursuing a tight-fisted fiscal policy.

Who is right – the FM or the CEA?

P Chidambaram - India News

The Economic Survey is “witnessing a V-shaped recovery”. The IMF says that the Indian economy will reach the pre-Covid level only in 2025! : P Chidambaram

P Chidambaram – Former Union Finance Minister:

According to the Survey, the top three ‘structural reforms’ were the
(1) anti farmer laws
(2) the new MSME definition and
(3) the four Labour Codes.

The farmers have rejected the three Farm laws.

The MSMEs have said that they had got no relief at all.

The Trade Unions have rejected the four Labour Codes!

What is reform is what the people have rejected. It is the new definition of  ‘reform’ and ‘democracy’

The Economic Survey is “witnessing a V-shaped recovery”. The IMF says that the Indian economy will reach the pre-Covid level only in 2025!

P Chidambaram Economy India News

Once upon a time, the Survey was the vehicle to communicate to the people in simple language the state of the economy and the prospects in the coming year: P Chidambaram

P Chidambaram – Former Union Finance Minister:

The best decision taken by the government is the decision not to print the Economic Survey

Once upon a time, the Survey was the vehicle to communicate to the people in simple language the state of the economy and the prospects in the coming year

Now, the Survey has apparently a different purpose, although the purpose is not clear

Will someone please explain to me the meaning of the sentence “(Granger and Newbold) also illustrated that the regression residuals are likely to be autocorrelated, as evidenced by a very low value for the Durbin-Watson (DW) statistic”?

All this in aid of the self-congratulatory conclusion that government implemented  “far sighted policy response for economic recovery” !

The most frequently used word in the Economic Survey is “regression” The current government has taught us the meaning of “recession” When you learn the meaning of “recession” and “regression”, you will qualify to be included in the team to write the next Economic Survey

Smriti Irani BJP

I appeal to every Indian citizen to ensure that Rahul Gandhi’s call for violence is met with sustained peace: Smriti Irani

Union Minister Smriti Irani addressed a press conference at BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Excerpts via BJP India:

In his press conference today, Rahul Gandhi announced that the country would see the 26th January riots replicated in every city and even into slums.

For the first time in history of India, a Congress leader asked for more violence instead of a call for peace.

On 26th January, over 300 police personnel got injured in the riots, while some journalists suffered injuries too.

Rahul Gandhi today declared war on the people of India. He said that if his political stand is not supported by the PM of our country, then cities will burn!

I appeal to every Indian citizen to ensure that Rahul Gandhi’s call for violence is met with sustained peace.

Rahul Gandhi on Farmers

Farmers are agitated because Govt is destroying the livelihoods of our farmers, labourers and it will give a shock to the middle class when prices sky rocket: Rahul Gandhi

Special Press Conference by Shri Rahul Gandhi at AICC HQ. via INC India:

It is important you understand what these three laws are.

The first law destroys the mandi system, agricultural markets of this country.

The second law allows unlimited storage of grains and makes it impossible for our farmers to negotiate price

Third law says if farmers have a grievance they cannot go to court.

It is obvious why farmers are agitated because Govt is destroying the livelihoods of our farmers, labourers and it will give a shock to the middle class when prices sky rocket

What is being done to the farmers is absolutely criminal, you are beating them, threatening them, you are trying to discredit them.

The Govt needs to talk to the farmers, give a solution and the only solution is repealing these laws

The person who has allowed this to happen should resign but there is no way he is going to resign. The BJP does not take responsibility for its actions. The whole idea is to discredit farmers

We didn’t see the relevance of going there [President’s address in Parliament] and we wanted to stand in solidarity with the farmers

We agree that the agriculture system needs reform but why are you being so stubborn.

Accept that you did it forcibly. You say you can withdraw them for a few years, why not withdraw them completely and have a discussion again in 2-3 years

I pay my humble tributes to Former President Pranab Mukherjee and six members of Parliament who passed away during the Covid-19 pandemic.

I am satisfied that due to the timely decisions of my Government, the lives of millions of countrymen have been saved. Today, the number of new corona cases is also decreasing rapidly and the number of people who have been cured of the infection too is very high.

With the announcement of a record economic package to handle the economy, my government also took care that no poor had to starve during the pandemic.

It is a matter of pride that India is running the biggest vaccination program in the world. Both vaccines of this program are made in India. In this crisis India shouldered its responsibility towards mankind & provided lakhs of doses of vaccines to several nations.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal President :

Today is a momentous day for democracy.

Akali Dal has taken lead to become voice of farmers in Parliament by registering strong protest against efforts to suppress them by boycotting President’s address.

We will raise our voice against this tyrannical government until 3 Agri Laws are repealed.

One whose heart beats for farmers can never lose this Battle!

It is unfortunate to see UP Police resorting to dictatorial measures with Rakesh Tikait, the senior farmer leader.

Every farmer stands with Rakesh ji. Our unity & integrity will ensure victory against the 3 Farm Laws.
